Excellent stay in this hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Background 'musak' was dire. Just a noise really and very, very annoying. Spa being upgraded so workmen a bit noisy but we quite understood that. Spa treatment excellent

The only thing which happenend during our stay was that on Friday the fire alarms in the hotel went off and we were all evacuated from the hotel and on Saturday the same thing happened only this time it was for real as there was a fire in the swimming pool area, we heard later on it was the pump which went on fire. We were all outside the hotel for about 45 mins. Other than that we had a great stay.

When I arrived on Sunday 03 March 13 was told the pool was to close for 4 days from 04 March 13. The hotel receptionist told us was fault of Classic Britain as we should have been told, but they did not let us know. On the evening of 04 March 13 overheard other guests in hotel talking about pool having been re-opened that afternoon but we were not told this by anyone in hotel.The reason we book these hotels in because we love a pool etc, very dissapointed with the service from Classic Britain and the Barony Castle. Otherwise a very good hotel with nice friendly staff. Would have been 10/10 if pool etc fully opened.

We had a perfect overnight stay. We would have preferred a more lovely view from our bedroom window, but this did not spoil our stay as we were only there for one night. We can't wait to return for another stay.

Hotel is in transition having been bought over recently. Reception staff were fine but waiters were below average. The hotel was quiet so the waiters were not rushed but seemed untrained. Had problems both at evening meal and breakfast. The standard of rooms is good as is the food but more experienced staff in dining room would have made things much better.

Just returned from a weekend break at the Barony Castle Hotel. We are regular users of hotels offered by Classic Britain and the Barony would currently be top of our list for many reasons. Having taken many breaks at this time of year this hotel is the first to have adequate heating in all areas of the hotel which is very much appreciated especially in the current cold weather. The staff were simply fabulous, including reception, bar, waiting and housekeeping. Every individual was consistently pleasant, courteous and obviously focused on customer satisfaction, nothing being too much trouble. Food quality was excellent and very well presented only slight downside was it favoured the red blooded carnivore, although a vegetarian menu is available. In the restaurant the dinner courses were served at a timed pace, which made dining a pleasant experience. Hotel upgrade currently in progress resulting in the spa pool being closed during our stay, although our visit was mainly for sightseeing and local interest so not a big inconvenience for my wife and I. Overall thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend and return.

I have used calssic Britain over a dozen times over the last few years and I can say without fear of contradiction that our stay at the Bryony Castle was the best so far. The setting is beautifull with wonderful grounds even in the cold of February. The castle itself despite being an old building was modern, bright, warm and welcoming. The bedroom was lovely and warm and all the rooms were spotlessly clean. The staff were jovial and helpful and attended to our needs in a pleasant manner. The food was excellent, alwys hot and the use of local "tasty" ingredients was evident. Rarely do I praise so highly but well done to the all the staff, cleaners, waiters, reception, chef etc, etc you deserve a real big thank you from the owners. You are serving them proud. When I'm back in that area I will return without hesitation **** Thank You All ****

Lovely hotel, we originally were located in a room above a fan room which you could hear, we asked if we could be relocated to a quieter room and we were called back from reception within 5 minutes to offer us another room within the hotel. It seemed no problem to be moved and the staff were most polite.

Lovely country hotel set in lovely grounds. We only stayed one night but the room, food and service were all excellent. I would recommend this hotel to others. Also it was a nice change to hear "local accents" from the staff at the hotel.

Had a lovely night stay at Barony. All staff and service was brilliant. Food was also very good. On arriving in our room, I noticed we had been upgraded free of charge which I was thrilled with. The robes were great to relax! Best room available was very much appreciated - Thank you! The bar and games room had lovey seats to relax and the grounds are very nice. Will definitely stay again.

bedrooms very clean and very good that our dog was allowed free of charge,however it was dissapointing that there was no entertainment of any kind partiularly as it was valentines day.also arrived to find that toilet seat was on the floor {which i fixed myself}and shower was not working properly

Overall our stay was good and would book again.The bed wasn't too comfortable though, a bit hard, and the shower didn't sit well onto the pole so we had to fiddle around with it a bit. Room was equipped ok although it was freezing cold when we arrived as the radiator hasn't been switched on. Our room wasn't cleared in the morning and I had to ask for clean towels as I went to breakfast on 2nd morning. Loved the fact we could get wifi. Waiters were extremely helpful and attentive. Food was nice. Spa treatment was fab.

Barony castle was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay.the only problem was that the hotel did not have our booking when we arrived.I think there is a problem with your booking service as this happened to our daughter at new year also.The hotel were great and immediately found us a room.

Just returned from an over overnight stay at this hotel with some friends. We had a fantastic stay and great value for money. We booked spa days also which incl 2 treatments and a champagne afternoon tea. Rooms were clean and modern. Dinner and breakfast were great. Highly recommend this hotel.
