Best hotel stayed in for a short break in many years. Location and facilities first class. Food very good and extremely attentive and friendly staff.

This is a lovely quaint hotel where customer service seems to be a priority. All staff are courteous and helpful. Whilst the service in the restuarant was a little erratic everyone was really nice and the food was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and not even our unpredictable scottish weather managed to spoil our stay. I would definately visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Insufficient seating in lounge bar and conservatory areas. Had dinner earlier than we would normally have liked to ensure we had a seat in lounge after our meal. On a plus side most helpful and polite staff we have encountered on our breaks with Classic Britain.

ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE BARONY CASTLE HOTEL ,STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HOTEL WAS ET IN PERFECT SCENERY,FOOD WAS GREAT ESPECIALLY THE CREAM TEA ON OUR ARRIVAL.ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THAT A LARGE WEDDING PARTY OVERTOOK THE BAR AT NIGHTIME AND IT WAS HARD TO DET SERVED AND SOMEWHERE TO SIT,OVERALL OUR STAY WAS GREAT AND HOPE TO GO BACK WITH MY KIDS THIS TIME AND HAVE ALREADY TECOMMENDE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND ALSO TO BOOK VIA CLASSIC BRITAIN WEBSITE,THANKS

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room was poorly equipped with things which did not work. A lot of noise from outside of the room was irritating and the hotel itself is badly in need of a refurbishment. The booking was made with Classic Britain 6 months in advance of our stay and must have (surely?) been the worst in the hotel. Handed in a detailed complaints form to the hotel a couple of weeks ago but no reply received.

This was our second visit to barony castle and just as enjoyable as the first time, we took our son this time and he had a ball, the only thing that was not as nice was the bedroom it was nicer and more modern the first time but that would not stop us from returning.

Celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary and my daughter ordered a bottle of house red wine for our table as a surprise at 8pm on 29th may 2012.Nobody informed us from your staff that the red wine was a gift as my daughter was promised.Phone call from my daughter later that night confirmed she had paid for the wine as a surprise.

We were put in the farthest away rooms from reception, but they were nice & quiet. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, with fab walks. The food & service were first class, especially the Spanish waiter & young girls that put up with a bit of 'ribbing' from us. We stayed here in October last year on a deal & got a deal this time. I know we will be back.

Barony Castle is a lovely building, with beautiful grounds, which are lovely to walk in. Staff are helpful and accomodating. Restaurant is very good, with a high standard of food, which is very well presented. Higjly recommend the,amazing afternoon tea. Bar area is nicely decorated, with great seating areas.Swimming pool, sauna is well woth the a visit.All in all, a great hotel.

Very nice hotel but some rooms are nicer than others.We moved from the one allocated as the bed was very squeeky. Food is very good but somewhat expensive, breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Only dislike was they allow dogs to stay and whilst I like dogs I didn't like a labrador barking two doors down from our room.

Spent a night at the Barony with my girlfriend for her birthday and we were both very impressed. Everything was to a decent standard, and we made use of the spa and bar. We had dinner in the bar (rather that the Blue Dug restaurant) and I highly recommend possibly the best burgers I have ever tasted. Also lovely grounds for a walk around (not forgetting some fun on the rope course). All in all highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.

The reception, lounge and dining areas in the hotel are very modern and comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The bedrooms were a little tired but very clean. More use could be made of the empty conservatory as the lounge bar was busy and sometimes it was difficult to find a seat. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would certainly go back.

My wife and I enjoyed a two day stay at Barony Castle and were most impressed by high standard of food and accommodation. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly and did all they could to make us welcome.
