Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine

Lovely hotel and very helpful and polite staff. Unfortunately we were let down by the service in the restaurant, our party of six had booked for dinner at 7.15. One hour later we were advised that something had happened in the kitchen, and apologised for the delay. Our meals were not served until 8.55, which is totally unacceptable. Meanwhile parties of 2 were arriving later than us and were served their starters and main courses before us. We did complain and the restaurant manager apologised and gave us a free bottle of wine, which we accepted but felt it shouldn’t have been necessary. When we did receive our meals, we had no complaints about the quality of the food.

The hotel on arrival is lovely with pleasant reception staff. The room was nice and clean and the lounge area was nice as well. Was not impressed with the dust and crumbs in the dining area its as if the cleaning staff forgot to clean here but in the corner of where the continental breakfast is served the dust is more than a day old.

After checking trip advisor I was a bit anxious about booking this hotel. I shouldn’t have worried. What a beautiful entrance. Really modern & clean. It was quite a long walk to our room but it was worth the walk. We had a beautiful big room with a lovely out look. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean. The only complaint was the bed. The mattress was cheap, worn out & uncomfortable. Our dinner was lovely. The breakfast was acceptable. All staff were very pleasant & friendly. I really wouldn’t oect to going back to this hotel.

Arrived Monday 4/5/26 for 3 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. Our room was 223 on the upper floor. Very spacious and clean. Daily housekeeping with lovely white fluffy towels. The restaurant had ample seating and 6 booths. Breakfast on 2 mornings was buffet service, one morning table service. Open from 6.30-10am. Recommended to reserve a table for Dinner. We were given a menu to choose two courses, starter and main course or main course and desert. The food is delicious, cooked to order, fresh and plentiful. You won’t leave gry!! All staff are friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble. Unfortunately, there is no power showers. Bath with an electric M shower.

My huband and i had a lovely overnight stay at this lovely hotel . 2 course Dinner,bed,breakfast and bottle of wine on arrival. Really good frr price.Food was fantastic thank you chef . Our room was good size and bed very comfy. And all staff were very friendly . Cant wait for next time this offer is on .

Fantastic valuecl for money in lovely hotel. Check in/out greeted with very friendly efficient staff. Rooms were comfortable with everything you would need. Bar and restaurant area decorated to a very high standard. Restaurant was lovely , staff were extremely friendly. Food was excellent with a good choice given on the DBB deal. Staff throughout hotel very pleasant

Greatt stay as always. Unfortunately the dinner wasn't up to usual standard. Cky chips were undercooked and my baked alaska was burnt on bottom. Breakfast was excellent.

Room was dated, bedside lamps had multiple stains and so did the bed runner. Bathroom also wasn’t clean with multiple hairs in the bath. Bathroom was in desperate need of a refurb old dark and dingey, Workmen drilling in room directly across from ours at 6:45 in the morning. Breakfast also wasn’t great service and selection poor.

We had such an incredible stay at Riverside Lodge Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. The food deserves a special mention too—it was nothing short of amazing. Every meal felt like a treat, and you can really tell how much care goes into the quality and presentation. On top of that, we managed to get a superb deal, which made the whole experience even better. Exceptional value for such a high standard across the board. We’ll absolutely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay

My son and his girlfriend loved it said the food was excellent and had a nice relaxing time and would gladly come again. Staff were really pleasant and nice and they would recommend to they're friends. The only thing they didn't like as a couple a twin room not good for a couple staying.

This is one of my favourite Hotels. The reception & lounge area is so welcoming. The staff are pleasant & very helpful. We were on 2 course dinner, which was delicious. The portions seems bigger than our last visit. Bottle of complimentary wine on the room & entertainment in the evening. What’s not to like. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Had a great stay at the hotel drink reasonably priced deal we got was fantastic food was really good too we will be definitely be coming back for another stay well done to all the hard working staff in this beautiful hotel ??
