Been good few times now , great choice food, staff just amazing especially in dining area ,rooms clean ,could do with new furniture,but clean, only issue was room was cold couldn’t get heating to work went to reception to be told heating doesn’t get turned on until October/ November due to saving the climate!!!!etc room cold no heating.

We have stayed at the Riverside Lodge a few times and always enjoyed it so much so that we decided to celebrate rate our 50th Anniversary there with our two daughters and son-in-law’s. We had a lovely time as we were with our family and the bedrooms, food and service in restaurant was good. However a little disappointed that I had requested the three rooms to be beside one another and they weren’t even in the same corridor. Also as it was a beautiful sunny day we were sitting on the decking area along with a few other guests when we asked to leave as a wedding party we’re coming through for photographs. We reluctantly moved only to see that the wedding party were mostly on the grass area. I understand it was a wedding but we were all paying guests also and felt it was unnecessary for us to move. When I spoke to reception they were quite dismissive of me. Probably a midweek break is better.

Was disappointed with food. Was shown the menu early on when we arrived, as we asked to see it. On arriving in restaurant later on that night we were given a paper copy with limited choices.

Enjoyable stay only negative was bed had very hard mattress and as I have back problems didn't have a very good night's sleep. Double rooms would benefit from a little bit of TLC. Twin rooms on level floor looked nicer.

thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent, especially breakfast so much choice. only fault would be the water pressure of the shower was not great but it didn't spoil our stay

Been on this deal many times before and Hotel is lovely and staff great but it was noticeable this time that the evening meal menu was significantly reduced and few choices, also breakfast buffet reduced as well with no beans or mushrooms. After being a long serving customer I would rather they increased the price to maintain the meals to keep the same standard as we will now think twice about returning.

Made very welcome at reception , lovely spacious clean room with 2 double beds , table and chairs . Lovely 2 course dinner in restaurant , plenty choice and food was good and staff very attentive . Breakfast was buffet with plenty choice of hot and cold and food wasn’t roasting but was warm enough . Overall a very enjoyable stay and would return .

I booked the DBB option, room was lovely but when we went for dinner we had to constantly ask to order stuff or the staff just walked by. We got the impression staff just weren't interested in the diners. Plus my sister called the hotel the day before check-in to ask if they could email the menu and it was a totally different menu that was sent which, give due to the manager for letting us order from the main menu but that shouldn't have happened since the menu that was sent was months out of date

We had yet another brilliant overnighter at the riverside lodge hotel. Room was big and clean dinner was delicious breakfast the nxt morning was hot and plenty of it. Can’t fault this hotel at all

Myself, my daughter and granddaughter had a lovely meal and overnight stay for her 12th birthday. Our room was lovely . The meal we had was beautiful. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We have stayed at Riverside on many occasions and never been disappointed .
