This is a very welcoming and generous hotel. The free upgrade gave us a large room which felt comfortable and so quiet that we slept in each morning of our two day stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. The staff at The Menzies were so nice from the minute we arrived. Food in the restaurant was first class.

I really like this hotel and the deal was excellent. The Manager was very good with the children and made them feel very welcome.Yes I would return again to this hotel with my grand children. The deal we received was excellent and I would go back without the children if any other deals were available.

Our stay at menzies hotel was lovely. This was our second time staying at the hotel. Our only complaints are the room was far too hot and there is noway of turning the heating off in the room. The kettle was absolutely digusting and very dirty inside. Apart from that our stay at the hotel was sufficient.

The staff were very helpful land friendly and the food was first class. It is also a good area to see the Clyde Coast and also the ferries to Arran.

Need to sort out the squeak from toilet seat and the wash basin should be in the same room as the toilet/bath and not in separate room. Other than these points it was an excellent break.

We have stayed in the Menzies hotel Edinburgh and was expecting same quality of hotel and the same standard of room but the Irvine hotel did not come any way near the Edinburgh . When booked a room upgrade was included , but the room was very dated .Although it was my wife's birthday and we did enjoy our stay , but would not stay at the Menzies hotel Irvine again

This was a fantastic deal. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The afternoon tea was fab and the meal excellent. Cannot fault this deal will certainly visit again .Well done to classic Britain

Had a very enjoyable stay at the menzies irvine. All members of staff very pleasant. A special mention to margaret from the dining room (breakfast) who remembered us from a previous visit a nice touch. Very nice large rooms. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again.

This was a fabulous pet friendly stay from when we entered the building and our dog Hamish got a bag of treat and the receptionist gave us advice for taking him out via fire exits The upgraded room was huge and immaculate and for a small supplement the three of us enjoyed afternoon tea in our room The dinner was extremely good as was breakfast but the most outstanding thing was the staff who were superb

Stayed here with my mum and daughter as part of a very good deal. Afternoon tea was brilliant and very substantial, dinner was very high quality too as was breakfast, all very fresh and plenty of choice. The service was fantastic throughout and all staff went above their expected roles. The room was very well equipped for my mum's mobility needs. After dinner we had a few drinks in the lobby which suited us fine as we were there for a relaxing break but would have been a bit disappointed if we were hoping for entertainment. Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely return.

The hotel was nice but not 4 s tar. The 9 pound sur charge for steak was over the top as we had 3 to pay for and the steak was not good quality and chewy. The fish in batter was watery and when asked if we, d enjoyed the meal I was told 'I never cookedit' I never said anything after that response. We were in a party of 8 and the rest of the food was goo, however the monkfish was off the menu by 8 oclock and that would have been the choice for 3

We really enjoyed our break at the Menzies, lovely room, comfy bed what more could you want. The only comment that I can make is that the shower is rather poor with very little room for movement.ut

I am just back from a lovely trip to the Menzies Hotel Irvine, We went away for a surprise Birthday Treat for my Husband. The staff at the Menzies Hotel were all excellent and welcoming. The food was exquisite, I would sincerelly recommend the Afternoon Tea - Delicious. Thsnk You for such an enjoyable trip and at a great price too.

I asked for a refund of some food because it wasn't cooked properly but wasn't given it! Asked for a second cup of coffee - our same cups were used and not washed!Member of staff asked me to open a bottle of champagne for her after keeping me waiting 10 mins to order some food!! There was no soap in the room and had to ask for toilet rolls! Kettle leaked all over my things. Gardner's kept the gardens well! Soft furnishings lovely - definite lack of local information available. Have put no to staying at Classic Britain but mainly applies to the hotel I stayed in - no way 4* I'm afraid!
