This hotel was so relaxing, just what myself and sister wanted, staff friendly, hotel very clean. Kitchen made mistake with my order, but it was rectified straight away and I was also given a free drink as an apology. Would definitely go back.

Spent a night this weekend at this hotel to celebrate my birthday with my partner and son, upon entering we felt that the hotel was spotlessly clean, every protocol that can be taken for Covid was done. Staff were friendly and helpful in fact they even allowed my son to help feed the fish. The room was clean and spacious and the specific room allowed for some outdoor space which came in handy with a toddler. Food and drinks were faultless and had a varied menu. Overall this exceeded out expectations given it was a last minute deal. Have already arranged to return.

Couldnt fault the hotel at all, room very comfortable and decent size bar area great , but the best o was the dinner me and my wife both agreed it was the beat meal we have had in a long long time , we will Be returning here no doubt about it

Nice building and facilities, staff cheery but lacking in training. Bar staff holding and serving drinks by the lip of the glass. Not what I expect to see during this pandemic. Drinks came with ice which was not asked for by the time the drinks were returned they were cold and quite watery tasting.

Been visiting the Riverside lodge for years when it was Hallmark and Menzies , although it was nice back then to it has greatly improved with the refurbishment, newly decorated rooms are lovely, and we presumed that due to current situation the furniture in our room wasnt finished , and if not then it needs some TLC, apart from that no complaints, food was great and service nice , staff and Covid guidelines in place throughout the hotel, my favourite place when visiting Irvine

Stay 2nights 11th sep 2020 for my 60th birthday with my daughters. Sister. Friends. Cannot fault it beautiful hotel amazing staff. Food was brilliant and service was to. Thankyou all for a great weekend stay. Will definitely book again.

The hotel entrance is lovely, staff very helpful, unfortunately the room was small, beds like brick, very hot in room and either air conditioning was broken or switched off centrally so very uncomfortable. At breakfast we waited 10 minutes in queue to be seated then another 35 mins before even asked what we would like then wrong breakfasts came. Other issues like no mini bar or fridge available in rooms for a 4* hotel this is unacceptable. Was told the rooms had been renovated but not the room we were in, overall very disappointing. Another matter was the lack of people using face masks in public areas only saw staff, myself and partner using them.

This is the second time ive been to the hotel. Was a bit disappointed on the first night it was really busy and a lot of noise in the corridor late at night people up and down one man shouting on his friends doors opening and banging closed. The second night was a lot quieter . Food was nice staff really friendly and helpful.

The room was a good size and comfortable beds .The hotel is lovely inside plenty of room with plenty of seating spaced out . Food was lovely at night .Breakfast was slow but that was to do with what is happening in life just now.Would definitely say again no problem

Really lovely foyer, staff very friendly, food amazing. Only small complaint was that the room needed upgrading. We had a room facing houses, did ask to change but told no. Next evening spoke to another couple who were in their element with their huge room with two large beds. , we had hole in duvet cover from cigarette burn and the shower curtain was really damp smelling. Did report this on leaving as it wasn’t a huge problem, although you could smell shower curtain during the night. We would return but would ask for different room.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were all friendly and helpful etc. However they were not too well organised. At breakfast on 2nd day we sat for 20 mins waiting on our breakfast. Never got it all. Got part of it ,so we just left without the rest. I felt if u needed to order a drink they were very slow to serve the tables and I had to go to the bar to get served. Plus tables were not cleaned very well. Was a shame but we dont plan to return or advise others to go.
