We had a very nice stay. We found the hotel very comfortable and the staff were all very nice and helpful . Ellie in particular was excellent both nights in the restaurant. On our second night it was our wedding anniversary and ellie put rose petals and decorated the table this was a lovely touch. The manager also offered us a free drink for our anniversary . These things helped make our weekend very special. Thanks

We have stayed in this hotel on a couple of occasions over the last couple of years and have always been happy with the rooms, food and service, however the rooms have become a bit dated and could really do with a makeover. Also at breakfast they have stopped providing a pot of tea for the table and instead give a mug of tea to each resident which is a bit inconvenient and they have also stopped serving toast directly from the kitchen and guests have to use the rotating toaster which is a pain and unhygienic as we witnessed people manhandling ours and other guest bread and this is something that the hotel management should address.

Had a great two night stay at the Menzies Hotel Irvine: two nights for the price of one, DBB. Lovely big room -spotlessly clean and comfortable. The dinner on both nights was delicious with a good choice available. Breakfast was great too! All the hotel staff were welcoming, kind and helpful. An added bonus for us is that the hotel is dog friendly - Poppy enjoyed her mini- break too!

very relaxing time, room was smaller than our last visit a few weeks ago, although we had a view from window this time which I enjoyed and on our last visit had the bedroom curtains closed at all times because we looked out onto building or dismantling of a swimming pool which being roofed meant you looked out to total darkness. Staff are excellent and very caring to their customers and our main reason for going was to relax and recharge our battery's and we were certainly able to do that in comfortable surroundings. Would have no hesitation in returning there again.

This was our third visit to this hotel. We love this hotel, the staff make you feel most welcome, fantastic food in the restaurant for the evening meal. Buffet style breakfast giving a fabulous selection. Spacious bedrooms which are very clean, fluffy towels. Very relaxed atmosphere, Easy access to the train station, making it ideal for city visits to Glasgow.

had a lovely stay at the weekend, was mo mothers birthday and staff treated us very well. A friendly welcome, good food and staff always happy to gelp. Room I stayed in was fine and location of hotel is fine, 10 minute wlk to town and 10 minute drive to Troon, Ideal location for exploring the Ayrshire coast.

Perfect place to relax. Lovely large airy lounge/ bar area. Reception , bar and dining staff very polite and helpful. Hotel is within walking distance to town centre and easy driving to Largs, Greenock , Gourock and Island ferries. Room was a bit tired but bright and airy. All areas of hotel we were in were very clean.

One of the best experiences of a hotel we have had.Staff excellent cleaners waitresses reception could not do enough for us. Room done while we were at breakfst and a follow-up to confirm everything O.K. Food first class except soup(Potato and leek)turnrd out to be dishwater and two tiny pieces of leek floating on a greasy surface.This did not,however, spoil the experience in any way. Cannot fault hotel at all!

The rooms are nice but needs attention to detail on the cleaning ie light sockets need cleaned in bathroom and bedroom tv area very dusty and spilliage of milk I think down the wood where the tea tray was and the lampshade beside this area also needs cleaned generally housekeeping that let's it down

The wife and I had a lovely overnighter recently we had No complaints lovely food friendly staff, The room was very spacious and clean with a very comfortable large bed we would use again
