The manager was just outstanding, nothing was too much, the hotel is a little outdated and rooms a little shabby in areas. over the three nights we stayed, we had no or little hot water due to problems through out the hotel in all rooms, but this was repaired by the morning of our departure, which again the manager was most sorry. Food was of very small portions and always not very hot, bars had not many choices of popular bottled drinks, very few choices.

Very good hotel. Manager and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant . Food was first class and the table service from the staff was a credit to the manager .only down side was the entertainment was a little disappointing.

Been to this hotel before lovely hotel staff are so nice and friendly manager is amazing there was a problem with the hot water which could not be helped and he dealt with it very well he was very attentive to all his guests we have already booked to return in April for my birthday looking forward to it

Our new year's break at Menzies Irvine was very enjoyable ! Great food and service and our two rooms were very comfortable ! Great beds ! Large screen tv ! Great wifi ! Shame there was a problem with hot water and the plumbing and water heating obviously were unable to cope with demand !

Picked up a bargain via Classic Britain for 2 night New Year break and will definitely return in the future. Arrived on Hogmanay and from booking into reception to leaving on 2nd the staff were wonderful. Special mention to manager Paul who was there 24/7. Only problem was the lack of hot water due to a pump fault but staff kept us informed and it was eventualy resolved. Looking forward to a return visit.

The hotel is in need of a bit of a facelift and food could have been better although for the numbers catered for was ok.The Manager at the hotel is probably the best I have ever come across and we will certainly be back

Sadly I was disappointed with the hotel. For a four star hotel it was very poor. Reception and bar areas are in need of an update as parts of the carpet were very shabby. The room was cold and the duvet unsuitable for winter months as it was very thin. There was damage to the base of the bath. I use this hotel regularly and this was by far the worst time we had regarding service at the restaurant on sat night. Everything seemed to go wrong and I was not happy about it at all. It seemed the staff were very inexperienced and no one was leading them. It is the longest we have ever waited for our meal.Menzies you must get this sorted.

My only negative comment , would be the hotel I felt was a little dated. On a positive note , the staff very pleasant , the breakfasts we had were good value for money, on the whole a very nice weekend
