Our stay at the Riverside Hotel wasn't what we expected from a 4 star hotel. The complimentary biscuits in room which my husband ate and didn't taste right were dated May 2022, absolutely disgusting, the door handle in toilet was loose ready to fall off. Dinner was 1.5hrs arriving then cold when it came. Won't be back or recommend.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, rooms nice and clean. Had dinner included withthe deal, more than one vegetarian option would be good however the food itself was fantastic.

Hotel bar and restaurant was very nice and tasteful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable and clean however a little dated and in need of a refresher. Food was delicious and great service throughout our stay. Delicious tails.

A wonderful stay at this Hotel. We got an upgrade as the heating was playing up. The room was amazing. We got a free bottle of wine in the room as it's part of the deal. The 2 course meal in the restaurant was absolutely 5 star. The staff are fantastic and nothing is to much trouble. I also need to mention the fantastic piano player in the lounge that played some beautiful songs to relax to. All in all a fabulous stay

This was my 3rd time here .The staff are lovely nothings a bother for them. There where 18 of us .The food was nice .The room was nice and clean. I recommend riverside lodge .Im going back soon.

Relaxed check in, clean tidy room with lovely view of the hotels beautiful garden. A problem with the quickly resolved while we were at breakfast. Very comfortable lounge area where you were able to relax with a coffee and a book (or your well behaved dogs). Food in the restaurant was excellent (although the supplements on the mains limited yr choice for anyone on a budget). We found breakfast more than adequate with plenty options available. As we were visiting relatives we will definitely return.

This stay was for my partner’s birthday and it was the eighth time we’ve been here and never ever been disappointed not once, the hotel is amazing the staff are very helpful, our room is very comfortable and clean and very big, plus the beds are very comfortable, there is nothing to complain about absolutely nothing, and if your reading this and never been you are definitely missing out on this great hotel, get yourself and partner booked up and find out for yourself, and you’ll be going back time and time again I promise you

hotel lovely and clean . nice friendly staff. got an upgrade to a suite which was lovely as it was my partner’s birthday the day we arrived . great value for money .food was lovely . but the grounds round about hotel need a good tidy up as there is so much that could be done with it . would definitely recommend hotel and would definitely us again .xx

As always had a great stay, stayed here for our anniversary as we got married here last year, food always good and staff friendly! Some rooms are slightly dated but always clean!

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were very attentive and helpful in reception and in the dining room. I was worried as I am gluten free but the restaurant staff could not have been more helpful taking time to go through the menu and explaining what I could and couldn’t eat. The food was excellent and at breakfast the next day the staff remembered I was gluten free and asked if I would like gluten free sausage. My friend and I booked at the last minute and could not get a twin room of the website we booked on but the reception staff sorted it out when we arrived. The room was lovely nice bed, carpet, and curtains the only thing letting it down was the scuffed dressing table a coat of grey or white paint would have enhanced it. The heating would not turn on but as we were not sitting in the room we did not contact reception. The bathroom had very noisy plumbing when I flushed the toilet. I went to shower in the morning I found it very difficult to turn on the shower it went for a few moments then reduced to a dribble so I gave up. I did tell reception when I checked out and they were most apologetic. It was a great deal good value for money with the added bonus of a bottle of wine and late checkout. Will be back

Bought vouchers for myself and husband along with my mum and dad however when booking was told had to pay £20 for each room as hotel doesn't have lifts and due to my parents health issues I need to be near them and it had to be lower floor discrimination if you ask me and if they had advertised this I wouldn't have booked vouchers so for this reason wouldn't go again . They also had a wedding on ,a coach trip hotel was mobbed and although the food was good enough the time they took from serving starter to main was over an hour long think hotel had just to much on but charging the extra money was j ust a joke especially when neither my mumor dad couldn't get a proper wash as they couldn't have climbed into bath but staff weren't interested they had their money

Terrific Hotel, excellent food, the only fault was, as we are both in our 70s and our room was on the 1st floor there was no lift. Would certainly book it again.

Once again, we had a lovely break in the Riverside Lodge Hotel. We had lovely, spacious rooms which were very comfortable. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming! Dinner on both nights were great and very tasty. The weather was dreadful, however, that didn't dampen our spirits and we had a really great time.
