Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine

Fantastic break away with friends. We have used this hotel on a number of occasions and it cannot be beaten in price. A lovely hotel and very spacious rooms staff friendly . Food. Portions were large and tasty and breakfast had more than enough to choose from. My hotel breaks are very much value for money. Booking simple and any concerns dealt with immediately. Will definitely be using again.

room was lovely although needing redecorated. Meals were poor, the breakfasts were only warm. scrambled egg on first morning was cold. Poor selection for continental breakfast.

Looked this hotel up on tripadviser before booking and had read mixed reviews but decided to give it a chance ....I am SO glad we did as we had a perfect weekend room was fab, huge bed !! (Bathroom a little tired could do with updating) staff was lovely especially Holly who served us our meal on the first night which was FIRST CLASS !! Buffet breakfast was lovely staff really helpfull nothing was a bother . Great location for the town centre taxis easily available hotel receptionist more than happy to order for us and about £3.50 into town . Really couldn't fault this hotel ( don't know why there was any negative reviews at all on tripadviser) we will definitely be back. fantastic value for two nights with 3 course meal on first night and a bottle of wine in the room !! Fab :)

hotel was great room comfortable .meals where fantastic only thing i could say is our toilet could have been a bit cleaner don't think the floor had been washed .staff are very helpful and friendly this is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed there.will be going back soon.

Some parts of the hotel looked a bit tired and could do with freshening up but did not detract from the very relaxing ambience felt as soon as you walked through the door.

Second time staying here and can't fault it . Staff are all so nice and food excellent. I had the duck starter on the second night it was absolutely amazing.

we have stayed at the hotel many times over several years. knowing of the change to hallmark we checked the web site before booking. it informed us that after huge investment the hotel was one of the best 4 star hotels in the area. we arrived to find no sign of any investment. our room was excellent although the bath area need an upgrade. the food was our biggest disappointment. an under staffed restaurant with a dull menu and little in the way of presentation was a major disappointment. even the buffet breakfast was so bad that we were forced to try continental. on food 2 star, definitely not 4 star.
