Live locally but decided to stay for our daughters birthday. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The double rooms are clean and have temperature control radiators which is a bonus to get the room nice and toasty. We stayed with our little dog also and unlike other hotels there was no additional charge for this. There is a dog friendly eating and seating area in the foyer. Dinner was excellent and fab choice to suit everyone on menu. Breakfast buffet had a wide choice the following morning also. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Fantastic hotel , Staff very friendly, food delicious ( fish and chips superb !!! ) . Rooms very clean, no complaints about anything, will definitely be back . Lovely warm fresh breakfast which is unusual for buffet style

The room was lovely and clean but really disappointed you can’t take complimentary bottle of wine to bar or restaurant.we ordered dessert and a drink in restaurant and was appalled to get a knock on room door at 10.30 at night asking us to pay for it we were staying 2 nights they could have asked the next again day so won’t be back.!!

Had a brilliant experience @ Riverside Lodge Hotel with my partner . Arrival & book in was so easy - staff were attentive without being obtrusive . Accommodation & food was great . Will hopefully return again - would definitely recommend a visit . A bit of a hidden gem .

Beautiful hotel.Friendly staff.fab dinner and great service.Our second stay here.My only concern was that we have a small dog,and I found that the eating area had changed from our first visit.We have no problems at all eating or sitting in designated area.But this time there was only one dining table for us to sit for breakfast.Not a problem till there are more guests with pets and only coffee tables to eat a meal from, not so comfortable I imagine.

This is a lovely hotel, the reception area and dining room are modern and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to help. Could have done with an extra bedside cabinet in the room as there was only one but really that’s only nitpicking.

Lovely stay again third time here in the last few months,the only complaint I would have is having to wait almost an hour and half for to get service to get a pudding,and unfortunately due to the hotel being quite full we only had one drink in the two and half hours we were sitting for our meal and the main dinner plates weren’t even taken away which is a shame as it was the first time we had taken others with us

My wife and I had a lovely time at the riverside lodge, the food was fantastic and the staff were very accommodating and helpful, nothing was too much bother for them, the rooms were spotless. Really couldn’t fault anything, would definitely recommend anyone thinking about going to just do it, you’ll have a fabulous time.

Booked as a treat for friends 4 persons in total .have stayed here before but was several years ago. Overall we had a very nice time here the hotel is comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good. Although it was very slow in coming to the table. But worth the wait. Hot well cooked and tasty .all 4 of us had something different from the menu and all were happy with what we were served

From the outset we were made to feel welcome. When we discovered there was no lift and my sister in law has mobility problems we were immediately given an up grade to ground level garden rooms.

12th visit here, Love this hotel,can not fault in any way, Food morning and evening is exceptional.. staff great !! Located close to town ( 15 min walk.£5 taxi ) ps shout out for Harbour Lights pub/restaurant w/end entertainment !! We will defo return soon !!!!! 10/10 !!!

Had a lovely stay. Room was spotless. Food was great. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved the coffee and cake deal and our wine on arrival was lovely too. We have booked another stay already for March (tribute night) we have recommended hotel to family and friends who have also booked. This was my 3rd time staying at the hotel.
