Hotel and staff were very lovely. Only one disappointment no entrainment on in hotel, a wee bit of music would have been exceptable, but didn't put me off would go back again. Kind regards

Thank you, my sister and I had a wonderful overnight break. We were lucky enough to get the best available room upgrade and dinner was delicious. All the staff couldn't do enough to help. Once again, thank you.

Nice hotel, large comfy room and nice staff, Breakfast was good. Took the half board option - It was a set menu (not a big selection) - Better to go for the bed and breakfast offer and thereafter eat from the normal hotel menu. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

Myself and my wife stayed for one night.the room was clean and the bed comfortable.dinner in the restaurant was excellent,breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice but not very hot.the staff were very friendly,all in all an enjoyable stay and worth the money.

We were on a "get away from it all" type break. We had booked in for a night's dinner bed and breakfast. The value for money was excellent and we had a great evening meal. However, what made the stay most memorable, was the attention and attitude of the staff and manager. They couldn't do enough and went that extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and looked after, despite there being a large function on that same evening. We would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back. Thanks Hallmark Irvine.

Hotel well situated with plenty of parking. Staff very friendly; offer of help with bags at reception. King room booked - good size with link vestibule to bathroom housing wardrobe with ironing board and safe (which didn't work). Bath with shower over; plenty of hoer and good pressure. Plenty of clean towels but one had a hole. Urine splashes to w.c. (previous occupant); lack of cleaning behind lid hinges. Hair in bath plug-hole. Bedroom spacious with two Kingsize beds - one comfortable; one had a mattress beyond use (uncomfortable and badly creaked). Bed linen clean but really scruffy to the point that we inspected sheets before use i.e. had they been changed? Space for mini-bar but fridge had been removed. Coffee/tea making facility in drawer with plenty of sachets. Heating by two free-standing oil-filled radiators one of which cracked like a pistol shot when the thermostat kicked in/out. Coupled with one over-bed light which was coming away from the wall, safety standard questionable. Good widescreen t.v. with good reception. Decor good and tasteful. Package deal included dinner in the brasserie which turned out to be a £23/head allowance. My wife chose the duck option, most of which went back being too tough and mainly skin. When mentioned, lots of apologies - but nothing offered to compensate. Buffet-style breakfast was very good (black pudding was dry - not everybody's choice so obviously sat there drying out. Gala dinner was very good - couldn't fault the meal or service. Full feedback on Tripadvisor.

Once again we had a lovely stay at your hotel. Staff were lovely and food excellent. The rooms were warm and spacious and staff accommodating. All in all.I would thoroughly recommend this hotel also MyHotelBreak.com on the value for money

A wonderful stay. My wife and I use this hotel a lot and always find the staff ferry accommodating and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Food is good but they could put on a special now and again as it can be quite boring with the same menu every you stay.

Always stay at the Hallmark when visiting family. Staff always pleasant and provide excellent service. We took our new puppy this time and plenty off open space to walk him. Would recommend.

Hotel was good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable. It was good being able to take our dog with us but I thought that £15 per night for the dog was a bit excessive. Also the fact that the dog was not allowed in the lounge area meant that we had to stay in our room for most of the night only putting our dog in our car when we were having breakfast or dinner. A side plate would have been nice on the table at dinner as would a saucer at breakfast especially when they gave you a pot of tea or coffee. If you wanted seconds, you had to pick up your spoon from the table or ask for another spoon.

This was one of the best hotel's me and my wife have stayed at, the staff, the meals and value for money were excellent,the rooms were spotless and really comfortable to be in, if you have any offers in Hallmark hotels I hope you will keep me informed, the only down side was the walk to and the length of the corridors, having poor mobility I found this a nuisance but it didn't put us off our stay, please pass on our thanks to the staff who turned a good couple of days into brilliant ones, thanks

On our particular deal this hotel provided excellent value for money. The service was attentive throughout our stay, whether at reception, in the bar or in the restaurant. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals and the food was also of a consistently high standard. Although strange not to see either black pudding or haggis available at a buffet breakfast in Scotland. The bedrooms and common areas are now showing significant wear and tear as noted in other reviews but are kept clean. The price you pay reflects this and as I have said constitutes good value. However the only minus in all of this is that it remains a hotel and therefore its primary function is to allow the visitor to stay overnight and the mattress is not fit for purpose. Old,saggy and uncomfortable. First job for management in any revamp would be to replace the mattresses.

hotel staff very pleasant but the restaurant was a huge let down selection not great chicken was dry fish tasteless wine over priced for the quality so dissapointing breakfast was cooked beautifully but not warm scrambled egg was cold not even warm since our party like our food hot it was a let down all in all i wont be back as i feel the restaurant plays a big part in the enjoyment of a holiday on the plus side the dissabled room has one of the best dissabled bathrooms in any hotel i have ever been in

Have had numerous stays at this hotel.It really can't be beaten on price. The food was excellent and service couldn't be faulted. The rooms were fantastic spacious and clean . Complimentary toiletries and biscuits were put in the room each day.There was evening entertainment on the two night we were there which made it a very enjoyable stay. Will definitely be back.

the hotel was ok and the staff worked well, the only problem is that when they having a wedding booked all other guests take a back seat if we book again we will make sure there are no weddings booked.

Booked 2 nights bed and breakfast, with 1 night evening meal. Breakfast average buffet style, with some things running out rather quickly plates, glasses for fruit juice and tables were thin on the ground. With some people eating breakfast in the bar area. Our evening meal was extremely good and service from all members of staff was outstanding. The only other complaint I would make is that the rooms are seriously in need of a make over. Cracked bathroom tiles, radiators missing from the walls and windows covered in bird droppings were just a couple of things that I could mention.

First o we arrived at the hotel to find they had no knowledge of our booking. The hotel was in fact fully booked due to a wedding and a bus tour. I have to give full credit to the hotel though for making sure we did eventually get a room. The booking had not been passed on to them from this website. The hotel were using a couple of rooms for the wedding party to get ready in. Once the wedding was underway they cleaned a room for us and we got settled in. The room was ok, a bit old fashioned but perfectly clean and adequate. One thing I would say is that the hotel was very warm. At dinner time we were told the restaurant was full and we would need to eat in the bar. The food was what I would describe as mediocre. I ordered pate and a sirloin steak. The pate was nice enough, if not a bit too much for the slice of half toasted bread that came with it. I ordered my steak medium. When it arrived it was definitely well done, so I sent it back and waited for another one. My mum, who was with me had chicken skewers which she said were a bit dry and the ribs, which she said were lovely. Breakfast the next day was pretty decent although they did seem to be over busy and running low on things quite often. All in all for the price I can't complain too much and would have been happier if they had known about our booking for us arriving.

Great Deal .... Staff were very good ... But came here for years many moons ago and it's still s good Hotel but tired looking needing some paint etc and the chairs needing all recovered ... Central located which is good
