Good priced package food/wine and accommodation at a reasonable price. Room was of a good size and general hotel gondition was acceptable. Would recommend at the price

Reasonable hotel, but needs work. Rooms good with huge beds, but restaurant totally shambolic with total lack of co-ordination of ill trained staff.

Beautiful room, friendly, efficient staff and great food. Can't fault a thing. So good we have already booked a 2 night deal for January for my husband's birthday

Great value for money, friendly staff, room clean and tidy, lovely dinner and breakfast spot on. One tip make sure you bang your door shut because ours stuck and only noticed when we went back to our room that it had not closed properly. Also noticed later on that the room next to ours had the same problem as the door wasnt shut properly.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have enjoyed it. Although overall I did enjoy it I felt that the hotel is getting tired. There was no heating on during our stay and at times it was quite cold. I did ask for the heating to go on but that did not happen. When Menzies had the hotel they used to boast that their breakfast menu included 112 items. This time round it was very basic although to be fair it was adequate, but no where near 112 items. There is building works going on in the carpark area but to be fair this did not affect our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff could not do enough for us... dinner was lovely.. Please do not let reviews put you off which nearly did ourselves, stay and decide for yourselve, and i hope you have an enjoyable stay as we did, and cannot wait to go back..

First o I would like to say I was astonished at being charged £30.00 for four rounds of sandwiches, two were for children, a coffee and a soda and lime! This was also the first of three tasters of rocket leaves on the side! The room was adequate for us and we had booked dinner for seven to ensure the kids were in bed not much later than their normal time. We arrived at 6.45 and were shown to our seat. We ordered dinner and would have thought the kids dinner would have been brought with our starters but no! We had late served with two oatcakes, no butter and rocket leaves in abundance! We asked for mashed potatoes with the kids meals but they arrived with chips which were left! The steak arrived with half a mushroom and half a tomato and again the rocket leaves were plentiful! The sauce I ordered to go with it arrived ten minutes later! The salmon came with no veg but rocket leaves and a few dried up potatoes. The icing on the cake was when we waited 45minutes for a scoop of ice cream to come for a three year old! Understaffed is an understatement! Breakfast was an awful experience! People queuing up food not being replenished and it was set up all over the place! Lack of bread for toast and cereal for kids... unacceptable! We had to go to local supermarket for decent breakfast for children. Totally disappointed!

Had a lovely time. Hotel was really nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. Received vittle of wine in our room which could be taken down for evening meal. Food is restaurant was excellent. Definitely recomend a visit here

THIS WAS A LOVELY HOTEL ROOM. BOTTLE OF WINE ON ARRIVAL WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. MEAL IN RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT, BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, COULD HAVE BEEN HOTTER. BUT ON THE WHOLE I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
